Welcome to Srinagar, the Lake City. Upon arrival in Srinagar, begin your tour of 'Splendid Kashmir.' You will be transferred to your hotel. Proceed on a city tour visiting the Shankracharya Temple situated on the highest hill of Srinagar, and the famous Mughal Gardens—Chashmashahi, Nishat, and Shalimar. These gardens were the Mughal Emperors' concept of Paradise and today are popular picnic spots. Also, visit a handicraft shop where you can purchase local hand-crafted items like shawls, jackets, bed covers, paper mache, carpets, and much more! In the evening, take a leisurely stroll alongside the Dal Lake, exploring the local markets. Overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.

Today, embark on a full-day excursion to the picturesque 'Meadow of Gold'—Sonamarg. Sonamarg is the last stop in the Kashmir district. From here, the territory of Ladakh begins. Situated at an altitude of 2,743 meters above sea level, the fast-flowing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and mahseer fishing in summer. You can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun in the snow and ice (by your own payment). Return to the hotel in Srinagar in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay. After breakfast, drive to Doodhpathri (the Valley of Milk) located in the Budgam district. It lies in a bowl-shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range, covered with snowcapped mountains. In Doodhpathri, there is a big glacier known as Achtar Glacier, having two tributaries, namely Sokhnag and Shaliganga. Shaliganga is also known as Doodhpathri. You can reach Sokhnag only by pony riding. After some peaceful time in Doodhpathri, return to Srinagar for the night. Overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.

In the morning, drive to Gulmarg, the Meadow of Flowers. The route from Srinagar to Gulmarg is mesmerizing, offering stunning scenic views. Gulmarg is renowned worldwide for skiing and snowboarding. During the British Raj, it served as a European hill resort. In Gulmarg, you'll find European-style surroundings, an 18-hole golf course, and can enjoy a Gondola Cable Car Ride—the world’s highest and Asia’s longest cable car (at your own cost, book your gondola tickets online). Enjoy photography, horse riding, and shopping at this beautiful snow point, and take the Gondola ride to Kongdoori and Apahrwat. Return to Srinagar in the evening. After breakfast, visit Aru Valley, Betab Valley, and Chandanwari (by car at your own cost). Aru, a small village 11 km upstream of the Lidder River, is a beautiful locality with picturesque views and ample campsites. This village is the starting point for treks to the Kolahoi Glacier. The most beautiful of these is the huge, undulating meadow of Baisaran, surrounded by thickly wooded forests of pine. On your way to Chandanwari, you'll also visit Hajan and Betab Valley. After lunch, transfer to Srinagar, enjoying the scenic views en route. Upon arrival in Srinagar, visit the remaining sightseeing spots and then check in to a houseboat for the night. Overnight stay on the houseboat in Srinagar.
